Easy Easter Cupcakes

I love easter time! However, I feel as I've gotten older holidays sneak up on me so much quicker! Here is a time saving recipe that only too me about 10 min to get into the oven. You can find the recipe, here. I reccommend getting a nicer or gourmet vanilla extract since it is one of the main ingredients. Save even more time by buying store bought cake mixture, but I promise they will taste better from scratch! 

Cupcake Ingredients:

2 1/4 cups of sifted cake flour
1 3/4 sugar
3/4 salted butter
1 cup whole milk
2 eggs separated
2 1/4 tsp baking powder
2 tbsp vanilla extract
vanilla buttercream frosting

Cupcake Decorations:

1. Get the edible pink birdies at Michaels. Wilson bakeware is 40% and use a 40% off 1 regular priced item (found in Michaels app under "coupons") for the cupcake cups.
2. Speckled Eggs Whoopers were $1 at HEB for a small bag, I bought 2.
3. To step up your icing game, cut a corner off a sandwich bag. Insert a decor tip inside the bag. Scoop icing into bag and use it as a homemade piping tool.
