So excited that we got to check another Houston bucket list site off! How stunning is the Water Wall? I mean holy chic, it's gorgeous. My jaw literally dropped when we walked up to it. As we walked up there was this elderly couple hugging prom pose style admiring the view, my heart swelled for them and that moment! Made me appreciate Isaak and our future ahead.

Speaking of Isaak, I have to tell you this funny story about our first date. Leading up to it, we got to know each other pretty well over phone calls and texts. I told him about my obsession with the Bachelor, to this day I'm still a huge fan of the show (I'm totally excited to see JoJo next season!) As we ended our first dinner date, Isaak pulled out a single red rose and muttered "Chris Harrison couldn't be here tonight, but will you accept this rose?" My heart fluttered! Months later I learned that Isaak went to several different stores, but couldn't find a single red rose. So he bought a dozen, picked one rose and threw the rest away?! We still laugh about it, it's one of my favorite memories of him.

Although, we have been together for 4 years now, I think it's so important to dress up for date nights. Sure there are several times where we go to dinner during the week and I'm still in my work clothes, but I think you should make the effort to get dressed up. One of the most important pieces of marriage advice I've received is to date your husband.

A dress and edgy heels are a no brainer for an easy, effortless date night outfit. Pair some statement earrings like these Lauren Hope ones from Rocksbox and you have a killer outfit. You can try Rocksbox for 1 month free with my exclusive code: leactorresxoxo.

What are some of your funny first date stories?
