Calligraphy Workshop by Nib and Pixel - Lea Carmen

Calligraphy Workshop by Nib and Pixel

Taking a calligraphy class has been on my blogger bucket list for quite some time! I was so thrilled to sign-up for Nib and Pixel's #PimpMyMail workshop when they announced that Lowe Co. was going to be a featured guest! Dionne Christiansen, the owner of Nib and Pixel, does beautiful calligraphy work you can check out examples here. For those that aren't familiar Lowe Co. is Bachelor reality star Catherine Giudici's creation. This boutique notecard line is so adorable and has so many occasions-I even purchased one for my dad for Father's Day!

I was so blown away by Dionne Christiansen's creativity for putting this event on. If you are interested in taking a calligraphy course I highly encourage you to sign up for one of her classes! From whimsical balloons to pretty floral arrangements Nib and Pixel certainly knows how to throw a party I mean calligraphy class!

Every workshop guest was gifted postage themed take home goodies! A lucite clipboard, Lowe Co stamped notecards, etched personalized glass, and envelope stirrer all were included at each place setting. The workshop was held at Post Studio. What is unique about this venue its that they do laser cutting on site. I am drinking out of my glass they etched as I am writing this!

Seriously such a treat to meet these ladies! Dionne was an excellent calligraphy teacher. She was very informative and patient. She even entertained us with her quick and witty sense of humor! Catherine (who was still pregnant at the time) mingled with us and talked all things Bachelor-she even asked if anyone wanted to be on the show!

My favorite part of this workshop had to be the sweet treats! We sampled sour cream donut holes, rolled crisp wafers, and a scrumptious vanilla berry cake while practicing our calligraphy skills. I'll have to take Isaak by Buttercup Bakery who baked all the goodies. My mouth is watering just thinking about the decadent donut holes. So good.

Catherine was so nice and posed for photos and helped us pick out cards from her Lowe Co collection. We talked about her new found love of the Lonestar state (she lives in Dallas) and how I should convince my best friend to go onto the Bachelor lol! She was so sweet and nice-I am such a Bachelor fan so this was so special for me to meet her!

Have you taken a calligraphy class?
