Beaded Tassel Earrings + The Importance of Shopping Small Businesses

Dress: Anything Bling Boutique | Earrings: BeadingWay c/o | Sandals: Old Navy

I am absolutely in love with my white beaded tassel earrings from Beading Way! They were an accessory on major repeat while I was on vacation in Punta Cana last week. Come fall, they will certainly be my go to neutral accessory. I can imagine wearing them with a pretty maroon or burgundy top! What I love most about these earrings is that they are made by a wonderfully sweet Lithuanian lady named Inga.

I came across BeadingWay on Etsy a couple of weeks ago and immediately was mesmerized by Inga's handcrafted prowess. Her impeccably beaded earrings are definitely works of art and I knew I just had to have one of them! After contacting her about a collaboration I was truly sold on her business after hearing of her journey as an artist and entrepenuer.

Inga Sinkevic has always favored arts and crafts, so much so that she graduated from art school. She lives in Lithuania, and describes her home as a "small and beautiful country, almost in the center of Europe". In 2007, her husband encountered a tragic bike accident that left him unable to walk. Inga left her managerial job to nurse him for 2 years. It was during this time that she started to create jewelry for herself and eventually for friends and acquaintances.

Inga's hobby has now turned into a small online boutique. Her Etsy shop is a family affair; her husband as a business consultant and her children Amelia and Erik as innovators for new designs and creations. Her jewelry business is thriving so much so that Inga hired 10 employees to help her fill orders and respond to customer inquiries. She thoroughly enjoys "satisfying all desires" of her customer needs and has many favorite customers that she works with. As of now her shop has bracelets and earrings but her plan is to eventually expand her range of high quality beaded jewelry.

Inga's story of empowerment and determination is truly inspirational. I love that she found a silver lining in an unfortunate event. It is an important lesson for us to support small businesses and find personal connections to the artisans crafting our "wearable art". My tassel earrings arrived in a timely manner, packaged with care, and are truly quality pieces. I cannot reccommend her tassel earrings enough!

Thank you to Inga for allowing me to share her business and story! Here is a photo of her and her children. Be sure to check out her Etsy shop here.

Thank you for reading and making me apart of your day!
